Improving Understanding of Legal Protection for Children In Schools

Legal protection for children in the school environment is a crucial aspect in creating a safe, comfortable, and violence- and discrimination-free learning space. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding of all educational staff and parents regarding the concept of legal protection for children in schools, as well as provide insight into their roles and responsibilities in creating a child-friendly environment. The outreach was conducted at TA-TK-SD Al-Azhar Setia Budi Solo using interactive lectures, group discussions, and case study analysis to ensure active participation from the participants. The material presented covers the forms of legal protection that should be applied in school settings, as well as the steps that educators can take to prevent and address cases of violence, violations, or bullying against children. With this activity, it is hoped that there will be a significant increase in understanding of the principles of legal protection for children, which is expected to be implemented in the management of schools and daily learning practices. It is also hoped that schools will become more active in creating a safe, comfortable learning environment that aligns with the principles of child rights protection.
